School Holiday activities

NSW Winter School Holidays (5 - 20 July 2025)

There is so much happening at Science Space these school holidays, plan an action-packed Jurassic themed visit or book a full-day experience on one of our curiosity days.

The team from Piccolo Me will be back to provide a selection of food and beverages at our Kiosk each day of the school holidays, to keep your family refuelled and powered up to keep the exploring Science Space.

Other school holiday activities:

  • Baby Dinosaur Encounters: Step into our Prehistoric Petting Zoo and meet our adorable baby dinosaurs in this hands-on interactive experience. Pat, ‘feed’, and care for these life-like hatchlings and learn all about their ancient world from our expert dinosaur keepers.
  • Jurassic Construct-It Zone: Invent your own custom prehistoric creatures with giant foam dinosaur bones, build a colourful Jurassic World with Magna-Tiles, and let your imagination run wild on our vertical Duplo wall. It’s hands-on, prehistoric play for budding builders and dino fans!
  • Fossil Dig: Uncover the secrets of the past! Use brushes and scoops to gently dig and reveal the hidden remains of an Ichthyosaurus! Examine replica fossils and bones up close, and imagine what life was like when these ancient creatures ruled the world!
  • Dino Stomp: Roar and stomp like a dinosaur in our pop-up play space for mini paleontologists! Enjoy with puppets, loose parts play, dress-ups, stilts and more!
  • Fossil Hunters: Clear the falling rocks to unearth the prehistoric remains in our interactive floor projection!
