Celebrate at Science Space! Our birthday parties offer 2 hours of hands-on fun for up to 20 kids. Explore interactive exhibits, enjoy a themed science activity led by a dedicated party host, and bring your own food and cake. The birthday child gets a $10 gift voucher to spend at our shop!

Inclusions:

  • 2 hours of activities for up to 20 children. Choose either morning (10.30am - 12.30pm) or afternoon (1.30pm - 3.30pm).
  • Time to explore the exhibitions.
  • A themed hands-on science activity for each invited child.
  • Dedicated party host who greets guests and ensures your party runs smoothly.
  • Hire of private, self-catered party room including a kitchenette with fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, platters, bowls and cutlery.
  • A $10 gift voucher for the birthday child to redeem at the Science Space shop.

Add-ons:

  • $5 or $10 gift vouchers for party guests to redeem at the Science Space shop.

Pre-schooler party themes

Bubbles party

Create your own bubble wands and blowers, compete for the longest bubble snake, or dare to be engulfed in a giant bubble!

Volcano Party

Erupt with excitement as you create your own mini fizzy volcanoes. Party guests will take home a real volcanic rock as a souvenir.

Rocket Party

Unleash your creativity and reach new heights as we design then launch custom rockets in our outdoor gardens. 3, 2, 1…BLAST OFF!

Slime Party

Do you love all things squishy, slimy, and stretchy? Create your own unique gooey slime to take home using some special ingredients and mix-ins.

Make & Shake Party

Join us for a celebration of seismic proportions! Design and construct an epic structure and test to see if it can survive a simulated earthquake.

Flying Machines Party

Enter our flight academy and invent a flying machine to test in our vertical wind tunnel! Will your creation fly up and out?

Party schedules

Morning party schedule: 10.30am - 12.30pm

10.00am - Party room available for parents to set up.

10.15am - Party guests arrive ay reception, greeted by Science Space Party Host.

10.30am - Party begins with exploration of exhibition space.

11.15am - Move to STEM Zone for themed science activity

11.45am - Party room for food, cake and presents. Additional free play if time permits. 

12.30pm - Party concludes and party room must be vacated. 

Afternoon party schedule: 1.30pm - 3.30pm

1.00pm - Party room available for parents to set up.

1.15pm - Party guests arrive ay reception, greeted by Science Space Party Host.

1.30pm - Party begins with exploration of exhibition space.

2.15pm - Move to STEM Zone for themed science activity

2.45pm - Party room for food, cake and presents. Additional free play if time permits. 

3.30pm - Party concludes and party room must be vacated. 

Catering
  • All parties are self-catered – please BYO cake, food, drinks.
  • The party room includes a kitchenette with fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, platters, bowls and cutlery.
Member discount
  • Science Space members will receive a 10% discount off the total party cost.
  • Memberships are not valid for party package bookings and cannot be used to gain free entry for party guests.
Terms & conditions
  • Cost is $27.50 per child (one supervising adult is permitted free per invited child). Usual entry fees apply to additional children and adults.
  • A minimum of 2 adults are required to attend the party, supervise children and assist children during activity time.
  • All visitors, including parents and children, must register their name and contact details with reception as a condition of entry.
  • Guest list -party parents must provide a guest list of ALL attendees by the Thursday prior to the party weekend.
  • An $80 non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking. Final payment is made on the party day.
  • Parents will have access to the party room 30 min prior to the party start time. View the party schedule.
  • Vacate time – party guests should vacate party room promptly at the end of the booked time slot but are welcome to stay and explore the exhibition.
  • No outside entertainers or providers are permitted (e.g. jumping castles, balloon artists, face painters).
  • No helium balloons.
  • No blutac or sticky tape on walls. Our party room is already decorated with an amazing mural.
  • Parties are to be held on weekends during school terms only. We do not run parties during school holidays.
  • Each party guest will be issued a Science Space sticker to wear upon arrival. This sticker must be worn for the duration of the party.
