Science Space added some half-time excitement to WIN Stadium on Friday 31 July as part of the University of Wollongong's Match Day Presenting Partnership for the St George Illawarra Dragons' NRL clash against the Dolphins. While the Dragons didn't come away with the win, the Science Space activation showcased the strength of the UOW and Dragons partnership, which focuses on education, research, community engagement, student experience and regional impact.
Captivating fans of all ages and bringing science to life in front of thousands of spectators, the spectacular Flame Bubbles, Cloud Bomb and Volcano Explosion demonstrations were a resounding success. Dragons representatives described the performance as one of the most entertaining and engaging half-time activations they had seen in a long time, providing fantastic exposure for Science Space and UOW while inspiring curiosity and excitement throughout the stadium.
